Show SHORT CREEK gHORT CREEK, Nov. 3 0. Bill Larremore and Alice Chil-ders Chil-ders were married at Kanab on Wednesday, November 25. A dance in their honor was given here Thursday night, and a shower and dance will be given for them next Friday night. A community dinner was held at the school house on Thanksgiving Thanks-giving day. Nearly everyone was present and a wonderful time was had. - Mr. and Mrs. Walter Carpenter Carpen-ter and Misses May and Pearl Black of Glendale were visitors at the home of J. E. Black and Clarence Black on Thanksgiving day and Friday. Leonard Black and Carl Olds made a trip to Glendale Friday for two truckloads of lumber. Miss Judd spent the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving holidays at her home in Fredonia. Miss Moves and Don Laurit-zen Laurit-zen spent the Thanksgiving holidays holi-days at Beaver. Miss Lola Johnson of Lee's Ferry is visiting at the home of Mrs. I'. W. Carling. Elmer Johnson and son, Mel-vin, Mel-vin, have been here for ten days and intend to stay and work on the ditch project. Bishop F. J. Johnson of Hurricane Hur-ricane has moved onto his homestead. home-stead. I. W. Carling and J. T. Spencer Spen-cer will leave today for Cedar City for freight. Mr .and Mrs. Henry Covington Coving-ton and family were visitors here Sunday. Word has been received of the birth of a son to Mr. and Mrs. Orlin G. Colvin at Hatch. Mrs Lizzie Colvin is at aHtch with them. |
