Show NEW OFFICIALS TAKE OATH AT NOONJOfAY Board of County Commissions Commis-sions Reorganized With I Morris Wilson of La Ver-kin Ver-kin Chosen As Chairman Officials who will hold the reins of government for Washington Wash-ington county and the state, who were elected last November, were formally sworn into office of-fice at noon Monday, Jan. 2. The oath of office in this county was administered by the clerk, John T. Woodbury, to Orval Hafen, county attorney, Morris Wilson, Jr., four-year commissioner, and William Lund, two-year commissioner. The oath of office was filed with the bond of district attorney, E. J. Pickett, Pick-ett, and district judge, LeRoy H. Cox. The board of commissioners was reorganized immediately following fol-lowing the administering of the oath, with Wilson being chosen chairman. H. T. Atkin, former chairman, was elected two years, ago to a four-year term. The recently elected governor of the state, Henry H. Blood, took effice Monday with the usual ceremony accorded to state heads. A complete line of Democratic Dem-ocratic officials in the various state departments, took office at the same time and appcint--ments followed. |
