Show FUNERAL RITES FOR PROFESSOR Funeral services were held in the St, George stake tabernacle Saturday at 2 p. m. for Prof. J. AVim. Harrison of the Dixie College, who died a week ago. A large number gathered to pay last respects to the departed educator, ed-ucator, and the floral offerings were profuse and beautiful. The opening musical number was a duet, "I Come to the Garden," by Miss Ruth Allen and Pratt Miles, followed by prayer by Arthur K. Hafen. Prof. Earl J. Bleak and Mrs. Vera Christian played a violin duet entitled "One Fleeting Hour." The speakers were President Jos. K. Nicholes, Bishop W. J. Reichmann, B. Glen Smith and Bishop Vernon Worthen. A re-mem'brance re-mem'brance was read by Miss Mabel Jarvis, and other musical numbers included a cornet solo, "The End of a Perfect Day", and violin -solo, "Smile Through Your Tears", by Prof. Bleak, vocal solo, "Face to Face", Dil-worth Dil-worth M. Snow and vocal duet, "Going Home", by Mrs. Mamie Paxman and Mrs. Viola Gentry. Gen-try. Benediction was by H. L. Reid. The body was taken to Provo Sunday in charge of the Pickett Pick-ett Mortuary and funeral services ser-vices held there Monday afternoon after-noon in the First ward chapel. Interment was in the Springville cemetery. |
