Baker of the Pickwick Stage system, with headquarters at Salt Lake City, was in St. George on company business Monday. Earl J. Bleak and son Lloyd and Howard Cannon returned last Friday from Pine Valley mountain where they spent a few days. Mrs. John Stauffer and two small children, Buzz and Inez, left last Saturday for Los Angeles where they will spend two or three weeks. Wren Knight and Port Leavitt of Mesquite were visitors in St. George Saturday en route home from Beaver where they spent a few days. Misses La Vera and Ina McArthur left Wednesday night of last week for Kimberly and other Nevada points to spend their vacation with relatives. Mrs. Ella Riding, daughter Miss Ar-lene Ar-lene and son Claire left Sunday night for their home at Los Angeles after spending a few weeks with relatives here. Spencer and Clinton Snow, Cawson Burgess and Marion Beckstrom returned re-turned to their homes at Pine Valley Monday after visiting a few days with relatives in St. George. Bishop R. S. McAllister was a visitor vis-itor here from Kanab last Thursday. His daughter Miss LaRue, who spent three weeks visiting Mrs. Harold Males here, returned to Kanab with him. Cornelia Ashby returned Sunday from Provo where she spent a few weeks visiting her sister, Mrs. Willis Graham. Mr. and Mrs. David H. Cannon and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Barton left this morning for the Grand Canyon. They will go on to Salt Lake City to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. William T. Morris, Sr. returned home Monday from Paro-wan Paro-wan and Paragoonah where they spent two weeks with relatives. Francis Leavitt of Bunkerville had his tonsils removed at the local hospital hos-pital Monday. He, with his sister, Mrs. Juanita Pulsipher, and her small son, Ernest, returned to Bunkerville Wednesday evening. Mr. Peterson, driller, was in Wednesday Wednes-day from the Bee Hive Dome well. He said they would be setting casing this morning. The Bee Hive people have had considerable trouble in making a water shut-off. Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Gates, Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Reeves, Miss Katherine Miles, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Snow and Carl Larson Lar-son spent Wednesday evening at the Veyo hot springs. Prof, and Mrs. Jay McAllister and five children were visiting relatives here last Thursday. Mr. McAllister, who has been teaching at the B. Y. U. at Provo, is en route to San Bernardino Bernar-dino where he will teach the coming winter. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Miles returned Tuesday from northern points where they spent a month visiting. They were accompanied home by their daughter, Mrs. Wood Urie of Cedar City who will spend a few days here. They will spend two weeks visiting friends and relatives rela-tives in the northern part of the state before returning. Mrs. Juanita Pulsipher and little son Ernest, Miss Florence Fore-master, Fore-master, Bliss S. Jarvis, Miss Mabel Jarvis and nephew Ralph J. Bennett spent Sunday in Zion national park. The entire group enjoyed the climb to the top of Angel's Landing, and report re-port having had a wonderful trip. John Gough, who claimed he was a wizard in horticulture, and- that his particular specialty was the growing of flaming tokay grapes on cottonwood trees, was picked up on the streets of St. George last Thursday and put in jail for safe keeping over night. Friday he was escorted out of town and headed west, and was told that regardless of where he was going, he was on the right road. Mrs. H. T. Atkin is confined to her home with illness. Mrs. George Lytle is a visitor here from Monument ranch. Thurman Gardner of Cedar City is in town today on business. Levi Cantrell of Goldstrike was in St. George on business Tuesday. Mrs. Charles Crosby was taken very ill Tuesday morning. She is now improving im-proving nicely. Max Hafen, Paul Hafen and Rex Frei were here from Grassy ranch, near Enterprise, Tuesday. Mrs. Rhoda Cook and family came in Monday from Las Vegas to spend a few weeks here. Archie Miller returned Wednesday from Salt Lake City where he spent a short time on business. Theo Dill and Jos. W. Cling have returned re-turned to their homes at Los Angeles after a week spent here. Miss Ruth Worthen of Provo is here visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Worthen. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cottam and Mrs. Emmaline J. Cottam left Monday for Provo to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Levi Snow and family and Miss LaRue Snow of Pine Valley were visitors in St. George Tuesday. Miss Lyle Taylor returned Tuesday from Kimberly, Nevada, where she spent a few weeks visiting her sister. Miss Helen Forsha returned Wednesday Wed-nesday from the California mission field where she spent the past two years. Mr. and Mrs. D. Clark Wb-tson and son D. C, returned Wednesday from Cedar City where Mr. Watson had been on business. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Snow and fam!-ily fam!-ily and Mrs. Annie Condie spent Wednesday at Hurricane and are spending today in Cedar City. Mrs. Annie Romney and daughter, Mrs. Irma Heywood of Provo came in Wednesday evening to attend the Woodbury reunion here.
