Show EXAMINE VENIRE OF 70 FOR BEAVER COURT CASE Seventy prospective jurors were examined by attorneys in the case of the State Bank of Beaver vs. S. B. Hollingshead, before a panel of eight was selected. Three days were required before a satisfactory jury was chosen. Many of those .called were dismissed because of testifying testify-ing to being patrons of the bank. ' The Beaver bank is suing Mr. Hollingshead, Hol-lingshead, together with six endorsers of a note, for the sum of $2750.98. claimed to be the balance unpaid on a note for $5000 together with $300 attorneys' fees, and costs of collection, collec-tion, with interest dating back from a period of about three years. The note was drawn for the purpose of furnishing bond for three Minersville men who had the construction of some road work in Zion National park under contract. Beaver Press. |
