These included Supervisor Su-pervisor Orange Olsen, F.an-gers F.an-gers Swapp and Baldwin of the forest service, Dr. Farrow Far-row of the Indian service; John H. Schmutz, Walter F. Smith and Orval Hafen of St. Gecrrge; John T. Beatty and Lawrence Kleinman, cf Toquerville; F. J. Bowler, of Gunlock; George Lytle, Central; Max Hafen, Bull Valley, Donald Schmutz, New Harmony, and Wm. J. Mackleprang and J. H. Smith of Kanab. The business of the meeting included in-cluded a definite organization of the district as follows: John H. Schmutz, president; F. J. Bowler, vice-president; J. Claude Frei, secretary and treasurer, with the presidents of the various community com-munity and local organizations acting act-ing as an advisory board. The preliminary draft of articles arti-cles of incorporation were read and with some alterations, approved. A committee consisting of Orval Hafen, Ha-fen, Orange Olsen and John T. Beatty . were appointed to draft the by-laws. A committee on relations, whose purpose it is to investigate range problems, study solutions and write resolutions to be presented to representatives, rep-resentatives, senators, governors, etc., was next appointed, with Supervisor Orange Olsen as chairman, chair-man, Bruce Snow, W. J. Mackleprang, Mackle-prang, Dr. E. A. Farrow, and Orval Or-val Hafen as members. A per district association fee of $5 was levied, the chairman of each local to be responsible for collecting collect-ing the individual apportionments and sending the fee to the secretary. secre-tary. Dr. Farrow of the Indian service, Mr. Mackleprang, Bruce Snow, George H. Lytle and F. J. Bowler responded in behalf of. their respective locals. A marketing investigation committee com-mittee was appointed including George Lytle, Donald Schmutz and John T. Beatty. A program committee who have in charge arrangements for the next convention at Pine Valley lists John H. Schmutz, chairman; F. J. Bowler, J. Claude Frei, Frank Baldwin, Benjamin Swapp and Walter F. Smith. Bruce Snow of Pine Valley was a.ppointed as delegate to represent repre-sent this organization at the special spe-cial convention meeting to be held in Logan during the coming farmers' farm-ers' encampment. |
