Show Funeral Held For Aged Resident of Toquerviile Nov. 20 TOQUE RVILLE. UTAH Funeral Fun-eral services were held here Saturday, Sat-urday, November 2 3 for Mary Janet Stapley Bringhurst, 70, who died at her home here Wednesday Wed-nesday night, November 20 at approximately midnight. Heart failure is believed to have caused her death. Mrs. Bringhurst had been active ac-tive all day, but after retiring she got up to open the door at about 10:30 for her son, Charles who. had just returned from Idaho. Ida-ho. At 11:30 she woke her son and told him that she had pains around her heart. He immediately immediat-ely summoned Martha Bringhurst and the doctor but she died before be-fore the doctor arrived. She has been an active church worker, Tjeing interested in the Sunday school work where she was a teacher for many years. She has been a member of the Genealogical committee, member of the Toquerviile choir for six years, councilor to president of Relief society for eight years, treasurer of the society for eight years and president of the pri- I mary twelve years. Mrs. Bringhurst was born ftt Toquerviile, Utah February 11. ;1865. She married the late Will- iam A. Bringhurst in the St. j George Temple December 13, ! 1SS4. j Surviving her are the following i children: M. William, Toquer-iville; Toquer-iville; Veda Wilkinson, Rigby, Idaho; Ida-ho; Samuel Leo, Charles, Toquer-, Toquer-, ville; Vera Thurber and Arvilla I Jepperson, Provo and the following follow-ing brothers and sisters: Charles Stapley, Beaver; William Stapley, Paragonah and Seymoie T. Stapley Stap-ley of Toquerviile. Funeral services were held Saturday Sat-urday with Archie Kleinman conducting. con-ducting. The services were as follows: Song, by choir, "I Know that My Redeemer Lives"; Prayer, Andrew An-drew N. Winsor; Song, "Abide With Me"; Talk George F. Whitehead; White-head; Solo W. H. Manning; Talk, President Claud Hirschi; Duet Mr. and Mrs. Vernet Hinton; Talk, John T. Beatty; Talk, Stephen Ste-phen R. Wilkenson; Readings composed by Mabel Jarvis were read by Rhea Wakeling; Song, Doxology; Benediction, J o s e p 1-Gubler. 1-Gubler. Burial was in the Toquerviile cemetery the grave being dedicated dedi-cated by Seymore T. Stayley. |
