'met the Iron county commissioners commis-sioners and Mr Gurr, of the Dixie forestry service and Mjs. Osborne, of the Htatu road commission, at Cedar City. At that tune the following fol-lowing plans were formulated. At present the plans call for the giving of employment to approximately ap-proximately 7 5 men from Paro-wan, Paro-wan, 13.r. from Cedar City, 40 from N',-w- Castle. 40 from I'aia-gonah. I'aia-gonah. 40 from New Harmony and Kanarra. 90 from Enterprise, 30 from Washington, 4n from Pine Valley and 7 5 from Veyo. Wages are to be 45c to 55c pel-hour, pel-hour, with not over 40 hours p,-r week yr 130 hour month, being be-ing permitted. No men will he employed whose nu:-s do not appear on the county relief rolls. There are many men that through pride have not enteied their names nam-es on the relief roll or excepted money from this source. These men will he given every consideration consid-eration where a delinite need is known No work 'will be done on Sundays. The roads to be worked on are: The Snow Spring Canyon road. Pinto to New Castle. Cedar City to Pinto, by Woolsey's ranch. Enterprise to East Reservoir by Shoal creek and Shoal creek to Clover valley. Cedar City to Enterprise En-terprise and Veyo to Goldstrike. A thorough physical examination examina-tion will be given all applicants. Arrangements must be made with the county commissioners. Hoard, lodging and transportation transporta-tion will be furnished to the men to and from work. The men to have the privilege of living al home whenever possible. When it is not possible, sub-camps will be provided. This will be necessary nec-essary on some of the work that is to be done this winter. |
