DRAW BEGIN , ON WEDNESDAY Casts Announced for Four Inter - Community Entertainments; Enter-tainments; St. George's Number Second Night The 1931 annual inter-community Chautauqua, sponsored by the chambers of commerce of St. George, Cedar City, Parowan, and the Lions club of Beaver, will begin Wednesday evening, November No-vember IS, the first local presentation pres-entation being a drama from the Cedar City club, "New Brooms". All of the entertainments will be given in the Wadsworth theater the-ater building. The play is directed by Ira N. Hay ward, and the characters are: Thomas Bates, William Dalton; Kneeland, his foreman, Marvin Mar-vin Greener; Margaret, his housekeeper, Anne Wallace; Williams, Wil-liams, his butler, Owen K. Sanders; San-ders; George Mtorrow, D. Cleo Dix; Thomas Bates, Jr., Wood Urie; Ethel Bates, Roma Jarvis; Florence Wheeler, Vilate Smith; Wallie Nowell, Melvin Bowman; Reverand Dr. Dow, Ira N. Hay-ward; Hay-ward; Geraldine Marsh, "Jerry", Ann Cutler; Simpson, Fred Foster; Fos-ter; Nelson, Kent Corry. On Thursday night St. George will present its own drama here. The local number is "Stray Cats," a three-act farce comedy. com-edy. It concerns a will provilins a legacy of four million dollars to go to one of the three nephews, neph-ews, Tom, Dick or Harry, if they are married on a certain date, otherwise the money will go to the home for stray cats. The will is not found until the morning of that date; and when news comes, all three of the nephews are still single and with but 14 hours in which to secure a wife. The cast is: Dick Skinner, the photographer; Myles Judd; Tom Skinner, small town lawyer, Preston Pres-ton Larson; Harry Skinner, the country cousin, Frank Miles; Billy Jones, office boy, June Moody; Reverand Petterson, the-minister, the-minister, Bernard Cannon; Le-ona Le-ona Brooks, society girl, Vella Ruth MJorris; Wanda Taylor, the model, Lillian Mathis; Jennie Lund, widow, Violet Spendlove; Kitty Baker, office girl, Margaret Mar-garet Brooks. "Your Uncle Dudley," Paro-wan's Paro-wan's entertainment, will be put on here Friday night, November 20. It is a three-act comedy directed di-rected by Wrill L. Adams. The characters in order of their appearance are: Mable Dixon Church, Emma Clark; Ethclyn Church, Miriam Matheson; Janet Ja-net Church, Buryle Hibbort; Cyril Cy-ril Church, Eldon Adams; Dudley Dud-ley Dixon, Will L. Adams; Christine Chris-tine Sidersholm, Jean Matheson; Charles Post, Taylor Miller; Robert Rob-ert Kirby, Clair Hulet. "Jane," which will bo shown on the last night, is the offering offer-ing of the Beaver Lions. In this play there is a newly married couple who must hide the fact that they are married. There is also a single man who has passed pass-ed himself off as a married man in order to obtain money. When the wife must be pioduced, tb girl who is married to another takes the position of the ficticious ficti-cious wife, causing great complications. com-plications. Mrs. Pixton, Maude Gentry. A matinee of "Stray Cats" will be presented in the Wadsworth Wads-worth theater building Monday at 4 p. m. Tickets will be 10c and 2 5c. Season tickets for the entertainments enter-tainments will be sold under the direction of the Ladies' Auxiliary Auxil-iary of the Chamber of Commerce. Com-merce.
