Show HEALTH According to the weekly bulletin bul-letin of the state department of health, a total of 140 new cases of communicable diseases were reported in the state for the week ending August 19. Mumps continued to lead the list with a total of 51 new cases. Chicken pox was second with 24 and measles and whooping cough were third with 19 each. The following is a list of all diseases reported in the state for the week: chicken pox, 24; meas-lts, meas-lts, 19; German measles, 5; strep infections, 9; mumps, 51; tuberculosis, tuber-culosis, 3; whooping cough, 19; gonorrhea, 4; syphilis, 4; Rocky Mt. spotted fever, 1; epid. men-gitis, men-gitis, 1. |
