Show MIA EVENTS ROAD SHOW TO BE GIVEN HERE ON WED.. AUGUST 31 The annual West Jordan Stake MIA road show is slated to be given here in Bingham next Wednesday Wed-nesday night, August 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Bingham Central school. Admission is free and everyone is cordially invited to come. It is urged that children under 12 years of age be accompanied iby an adult. "God's Country" i3 the theme of this year's show, which will consist of ten acts, one from each of the ten wards in the stake, each ward portraying a phase of the general theme. Bingham ward's act is titled "Streams". HAYRIDE The West Jordan Stake M Men and Gleaner Girl hayride is set for September 9, at West Jordan park at 6:30 p.m. On the agenda are fun, program and food. Admission Ad-mission is 25 cents. Tickets may be obtained from Mrs. Irene Shaf-ter Shaf-ter and should be gotten before August 31. All young people of M Men and Gleaner Girl age are invited to attend. "Moonlight Capers" "Moonlight Capers" was the theme of the open air dance held at South Jordan Tuesday night for all West Jordan stake junior M Men and junior Gleaner girls. The floor show was furnished by Bingham, Copperton and Lark wards. Numbers included a medley med-ley of songs by a trio composed of Carma Ray, Carole Dean Sanchez, San-chez, Kathy Zampos; dance (by LaDean Ham, Kathy Zampos, Carma Ray, Carole Dean Sanchez, San-chez, Ellen Beth Thomas. In the mixed dance which included swing and samba they were joined join-ed by Tommy James, Marvin Prigmore, Jimmy Wilson, Ronnie Boren and Gerald Cunningham. A vocal selection was rendered by Ann Houghton. Miss Sanchez was in charge of arranging the program and Mrs. Shatter did the announcing. Music was provided pro-vided by Clarice Bergman's orchestra. or-chestra. Refreshments were served. ser-ved. The group were accompanied accompan-ied by iMrs. Eva West, Jr. Gleaner Glean-er leader and Mrs. Letha Ham. |
