| Show st james forms new youth club will affiliate with national group miss detty betty pitchford glines became the first president of the club of st james catholic church as the result of an election held last week the election was part of the organizational meeting of the newly formed youth group which will serve the teen age members of the parrish at the meeting michael mccar ley west 3rd ard south was chosen vice president and charlotte martinez 84 north ath west became secretary treasurer the catholic youth bation club like its counter parts all over the united states will sponsor a program of spiritual social and cut cul tural activities for the young catholics of the area through the local group these young will become affiliated with the Nati national orial council of catholic youth a nation wide organization comprising over seven million members rev john L doyle pastor of st james parish will be the moderator of the local group A year ago father doyle was a delegate to the biennial convention of the na dional council of catholic youth held in kansas city missouri last spring he was the keynote speaker at the state convention in price at the opening meeting miss pitchford disclosed plans for the solemn reception of members and installation of officers in st james church on october 30 A halloween alloween II initiation party will be held in conjunction with this ceremony |
