Show ' Naples Ado Openshaw Phone 789-3145 Family members gather in Provo Ralph and Nellie Southam and their son and daughters enjoyed a family get-together on Saturday, a week ago, in Provo. The group, besides Ralph and Nellie, included Marlin and Lor-na Lor-na Moon and Kenneth and Ora Moon of Salt Lake City, Everett and Sherry Southam of Chico, California; Ferris and Grace Gardiner, Kerry and Julie Gardiner of Naples; and Donna Bowden of Maeser. The group attended attend-ed a session in the Provo Temple and afterwards enjoyed a family dinner. Reva Ruppe spent last week in Rex-burg, Rex-burg, Idaho with her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Alan Clark. While there she accompanied the Clarks to West Yellowstone and other places of interest. She came home with Mrs. Jack (Rita) Ruppe, and enroute home they stopped in Rock Springs, Wyoming Wyom-ing to visit with Theron and Rhonda Clark, arriving home Monday evening. The family of Edgar and Lillian Barker held a family reunion Saturday evening at the Searle Pavilion with 126 members attending. The group also honored Mrs. Mae Hemstalk for her 80th birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Fowles and his mother, Mrs. Sylvia Tarot of San Jose, California were guests of Sylvia's sister, Nellie Richens and family last week. Ted and Linda Olsen of Baytown, Texas arrived Thursday to spend a week here with Ted's parents, Charles and Hazel Olsen, and brothers Dan Olsen and Wade Olsen and their families. Fred and Carol Rae Hunting and family of Lincoln, Nebraska came Thursday to visit with their parents, the Niles Southams and Uel Huntings. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Merrell and daughter Lee of Lehi were visitors at the home of Sterling's sister Elva Man waring during the week. Also visiting with Elva on Saturday were Bernard and Lucille Winkler and daughter of Bluebell. Mrs. Ken (Caryl Ann) Seastrand of Provo came Thursday night to spend Friday and Saturday with her parents, Norman and Janna Haslem. The Haslem's took her home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Southam and family left Wednesday for their home in Chico, California after spending their vacation here with their parents and family members. Enroute home they will visit with Everest's sisters, Lorna and Ora and their families in Salt Lake City. Ellen Gardiner, Gladys Barker, and Vera Olsen left Monday morning to take their sister Mae Hemstalk to her home in Oraville, California. Mae has spent the past six weeks here with her sisters and brother, Ken Barker, Ellen Gardiner, Vera Olsen, Ethel Luck, Pearl Allen, and Marilyn Warren. Mike and Connie Haslem entertained entertain-ed family members Saturday evening at an outdoor barbecue birthday party par-ty honoring their little daughter Kathryn on her third birthday. The group of 26 family members of the Haslem and Southam families met at the Red Fleet Recreation Area for an evening of boating and other fun and the barbecue dinner. Afterwards they went to the Haslem home for birthday cake and ice cream. Robert and Teresa Kay and children, Kolby and Linzee spent Friday Fri-day and Saturday in Salt Lake City. While there they visited the Zoo and other places of interest for the children. Becka Mortinsen and daughters, Kiersten, Edie, and Micka of Salt Lake City were here with her sister-in-law Teresa Kay on Wednesday and Thursday. Thurs-day. They also visited with Bruce and Ida Mortensen before returning to Salt Lake. John and Janell Kay were in Salt Lake City for four days last week. Visiting at the LawTence and Joy Kay home Sunday was Stan Tolbert of Salt Lake City. |
