Show Dorothy O'Neil Credit Women The Vernal Credit Women held their regular meeting recently at the Lamplighter Inn under the direction of Diane Augustus, first vice president. President Zona Larsen was excused. Dorothy O'Neil, owner and manager of the Vernal Credit Bureau, was keynote speaker. She discussed "penalty for fradulently obtaining a credit report." She noted that credit bureaus are limited to providing credit reports to credit granters for specific purposes and are required to have credit granters certify that the reports will be used only for those purposes. A consumer has the right to know why he or she has been denied credit. Former president Carmen Workman presented Mrs. Augustus with an award sent to her by Credit Women International for outstanding educational programs held in 1982. Mrs. Augustus was chairperson for the education programs. The next meeting will be held Aug. 17. Special guests will be Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gibson. Mr. Gibson was the first Godfather of the Vernal Credit Women when it was organized in 1969. Table decorations depicted an Independence In-dependence Day theme. Ann Merkley and Marion A.
