Show Another deterring factor to building two high schools is the cost involved. Dana Larson Roubal and Associates, educational facilities consultant to the school district predicts that a two high building program would cost $25,916,000 compared to $17 million for a large high school and auditorium on the westside. But there are some disadvantages to a large high school. One of them is the sociological impact it will have on students. There is more potential for special problems in a large high school. The March 15 bond election proposes bonding for up to $17 million for a 1,400 student high school, renovation of Uintah Uin-tah High School for grades 8-9 and an auditorium on the westside. Absentee ballots are available at the Uintah School Board Office, 623 West 200 South, for those who are unable to go to the polls. |
