Show Highway turned over to state A resolution was signed by- Uintah County Commissioners Monday with the Utah Department of Transportation to change the route of state Highway 45. In a trade with the UDOT, Uintah County will turn over the new Bonanza road, starting at the turn on U.S. 40 in Naples and ending at Duck Rock, over to the state to be known as SR45. In return the county will take over the old section of SR45 from the junction of the new SR45 north of Bonanza to U.S. 40. The state will maintain signs and control con-trol traffic on the new road, according to county commissioners. The new road includes in-cludes the new bridges over the Green and White rivers. Also Monday bids were opened for three, three-quarter ton, heavy duty pickup trucks for the road department. Dave Jolley Chevrolet-Oldsmobile was given the bid at $25,941. Showalter Motor Co. was next with a $26,004 bid, followed by Perry Motor co., $26,745 and Utah Motor Co., $29,643. |
