Show Man taxis plane, arrested for damaging craft Uintah County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Vernal man about midnight Tuesday and charged him with felony criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged two light aircraft while taxiing his own light plane. He was also charged with tampering with an aircraft, a Class B misdemeanor, and public intoxication, said sheriff's Cpl. Larry Crowl. James A. Ross, in his late 20s, was released on $2,366 bond. He went to the plane to pick up some papers between 11:30 and 11:45 p.m., started the engine and taxied, causing an undetermined amount of damage, said Crowl. The incident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration, Crowl said. |
