Show Muzzle-loader permits go on sale Sept. 1 Permits for the deer muzzle-loader season, Nov. 6-H, go on sale Sept. 1 at Utah Division of Wildlife Kesources offices of-fices In Salt Lake City, Springvtlle, Ogden, Vernal, Price and Cedar City. The cost of the permit is $10. A muzzle-louder muzzle-louder permit does not allow a hunter to take a second buck. The tag from the regular big game license must be used. A hunter may possess both a muzzle-loader muzzle-loader permit and either an archery or deer control permit. New this year is a regulation allowing a hunter to fill a deer control permit during the muzzle-loader muzzle-loader hunt. The deadline for purchasing a muzzle-loader permit is Oct. 22, one day prior to the opening of the general deer season. Hunters harvesting a buck during dur-ing the general deer season may not hunt during the muzzle-loader season, unless they have a deer control permit which has not been filled. Last year, 4,223 muzzle-loader hunters harvested 898 bucks. |
