Show Power administration is V reviewing comments on pic Al Gabiola, Salt Lake City Area Manager for the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), has received more than 1,000 letters and comments from Moon Lake Electric Association members commenting on the Post-1989 Power Marketing Plan for Federal hydroelectric resources in the Salt Lake City area. These comments are the result of a public information forum held June 10 in Salt Lake City, in which the development of the marketing plan was discussed for the sale of Federal hydroelectric power from the Colorado River Storage Project (CRSP), the Collbran Project, the- Provo River Project, and the Rio Grande Project. WAPA's Salt Lake City Area Office has responsibility for developing the marketing plans for the power output from these projects. With power sales contracts expiring by September 1989, the post-1989 plans will determine how much power will be available and the criteria for marketing it. "Each letter received as a result of the public information forum will be reviewed and will become a part of the formal record on the Post-1989 Power Marketing Plan," said Gabiola. "We understand and appreciate the active concern that the members of Moon Lake Electric Association have about future power costs and the availability of cost-based CRSP power, and we encourage their participation and response to the marketing plan for the Salt Lake City Area. All the comments we have received will be given full consideration, along with the views of other interested parties, in the preparation of the final Post-1989 Power Marketing Plan." The Salt Lake City Area Office marketing area encompasses 318,000 square miles and includes: the entire State of Utah, the major portion of New Mexico, the western half of Colorado, the western half of Texas, the northeastern corner of Arizona, the southwestern corner of Wyoming, and a small portion of Nevada.
