Show "-- v 1 5 1 THELDA DORTHA McKEE Thelda McKee dies of heart attack Thelda Dortha McKee, 68, died of a heart attack at her home in Vernal Sept. 21, 1980. She was born Oct. 27, 1912 in Jensen, Utah to Johnathan Moys and Verlie Stewart Murray. She married Marion Wall Abplanalp Jan. 13, 1928 in Vernal. They later divorced. She married Robert Henderson Gregg, Oct. 18, 1950 in Grand Junction, Colo. He died April 24, 1956. She married Henry Hullinger Merkley, Nov. 29, 1958 in Rangely, Colo., and he died July 22, 1963. She married Harold S. McKee Sept. 25, 1964 in Blackfoot, Idaho. She was an employee em-ployee of the Utah State Field House of Natural History. She was a member of Maeser 1st Ward, past president of DUP Camp May Ruple, Relief Society teacher, Sunday School teacher and Primary teacher. Her son and two sisters preceded her in death: Clarence Abplanalp, Sarah Mears and Verla Gifford. Services in her honor were Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Sept. 24, in the Maeser First Ward Chapel. Bishop Ronald Robb conducted. Wilbur Murray gave the family prayer. Daun White and Dorothy Peltier sang "Whispering Pines," and Dennis Oaks gave the invocation. Following remarks by Bishop Robb, Bill Caldwell spoke. Dorothy Peltier and T)aun White sang "How Great Thou Art," and Dwain Soderquist spoke. A grandson, Robert Abplanalp, gave a musical number and Kelly Goodrich gave the benediction. Harvey McKee dedicated the grave in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Abplanalp, Bob Abplanalp, Craig McKee, Court McKee, Dennis Oaks and Kelly Goodrich. Survivors are her husband of Vernal; two step-sons, William (Bill) McKee and Dan McKee both of Vernal; two grandsons; a granddaughter; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Thelma Cheak of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Ercil (Berta) Oaks, Mrs. Elmer (Erma) Casada, both of Vernal, Mrs. Ray (Elizabeth) Adams of Blackfoot, Idaho, Wilbur of Springfield, Mo., Boyd of Blackfoot, Idaho, Mack of Lapoint, Dee of Garden Grove, Calif., and Johnny of Garden Grove, Calif. |
