Show Lapoint chapel to be dedicated Sunday, Sept. 28 The newly completed Lapoint Ward Chapel will be dedicated Sunday, Sept. 28. The construction cost of the building was collected on a total stake involvement. in-volvement. The LDS Church building program invites all who wish to contribute con-tribute money and time in the construction con-struction costs. Bishop Keith Hartle, Councilors Robert Young and Elroy Walker and executive secretary, David Lundberg, spent many hours seeing that construction went according to plans. Construction of the building began March 29, 1979 and Broadrich and Howell Construction Co., of Orem, Utah was the contractor. The building was constructed with room enough for two wards. The program set for Sunday will begin at 3:30 p.m. President Calvin R. Kowallis will speak, followed by Bishop Keith Hartle. The dedication will be by Elder Hugh W. Pinnock who is meeting with the Roosevelt Stake under the direction of the First Presidency of the Church. Buildings such as the Lapoint chapel, constructed for the LDS Church are paid for in full before they are dedicated. |
