Show y 4 rl Y F x 1 t y ry ij It I- I t f r e RUN RON GARDNER 33 Uintah tosses the basketball toward the hoop during the Wasatch Uintah-Wasatch battle last Friday Indian All-Indian hoop tournament finals set for Saturday An all Indian all Indian basketball tournament a Pow Wow and a aNew aNew aNew New Years Year's Eve party dance will be featured this week at Fort Duchesne THE TILE ALL I INDIAN ALL DlAN Holiday Basketball Tournament featuring the best Indian teams- teams both in mens men's and women's from competition the Intermountain Intermountain Intermountain In- In West began this past Tuesday and will conclude Saturday at the Purpose Multi-Purpose Building in Fort Duchesne Five games were played on Tuesday and six games were played on Wednesday Nine games will be played starting at am a.m. on both Thursday and Friday and the women's championship will start at 5 p pm p.m. m. m on Saturday followed by the mens men's finale at pm p.m. FOLLOWING the basketball games on Saturday New Years Year's Eve will be a Pow Wow- Wow featuring dance and drum contests and a tournament at the Multipurpose Multi purpose Building The Pow PowWow PowWow PowWow Wow will be held again Sunday New Years Year's Day starting at 6 pm p.m. Another event slated Saturday is a New Years Year's Eve party and dance which will begin at 7 pm p.m. and continue until 1 l am a.m. at Bottle Hollows Hollow's Convention Center All kinds of snacks will be available as will party favors and a live band will provide music All proceeds will go to the National Congress of American Indians |
