Show BMA FLASHES by Jim Abplanalp TURKEY SHOOT NEXT WEEK The annual BDAA Turkey and Chicken Shoot is on tap for next week end. Yes sir, you can relax and enjoy this favorite winter program for only a few cents, and it's always nice to have a big fat bird on that Xmas dinner table. The shoot will take place at the target range behind Hurley's Hur-ley's Service Station at Copper-ton Copper-ton next Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 20 and 21 from 2 p.m. until dark. The same rules will apply this year, as we have used in the past: 22 calibre rifles, no telescope tele-scope sights, and special prizes for the ladies. You furnish your own gun and ammunition. Full details of the shoot will be available avail-able early next week, so in the meantime better get in a little practice. BDAA Hoop Queries The BDAA Basketball league that has been held for several seasons at the Gemmell Club, hopes to get started early in January, Jan-uary, but as yet we have had very few definite entries. We can get started in the first week of the new year, if you fellows will just let us know. Possibly four or six teams will form the league again this winter, with a couple of squads already hinting they may like to play. Any teams interested in this popular league should contact us very soon. There is always a matter of drawing up a schedule, obtaining game officials and others to handle scoring etc., so please let us know if you want to get in. Preps Lose To Morgan With about five seconds left in the ball game, a Morgan sharpshooter sharp-shooter dunked a couple of foul pitches to eke out a 43 to 41 victory vic-tory over Bingham, in a practice tilt Wednesday afternoon at Copperton. Cop-perton. The two squads battled on even ev-en terms throughout the entire game, with the visitors gaining the verdict after a 41-41 tie near the end. Bingham plays this same team a return game at Morgan tonight, Friday. Next Tuesday, Dec. 16, Bingham Bing-ham will play host to South Summit Sum-mit in another afternoon preseason pre-season tilt. Bingham will travel south for several practice games, starting at Hinckley on the 19th, at Delta on the 20th.
