Show SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION. On Tuesday evening last, the first meeting of the Sunday School Union was held in the Logan Tabernacle. A large number of prominent people were present; and the proceedings were very interesting. Instructive remarks were made by president W. B. Preston, Superintendent O. C. Ormsby, and several others. A spirit was manifested among those who attended, to do all in their power to assist the Union and make it a success. A Bible class of 60 members was formed with Elder John B. Thatcher as teacher. The officers of the Union are O. C. Ormsby, Superintendent; John B. Thatcher and Charles Nibley, Assistants; and Adolph Anderson, Secretary. The next meeting will be held in Logan Tabernacle on Sunday evening January 4, 1880, commencing at 6:30 o'clock; when all interested in Sunday Schools, and the moral training of our youth are invited to be present. |
