Show INFAMOUS BEYOND BELIEF. With this issue we give a supplement containing matter of great interest to the people of Utah, inasmuch as the real principles and purposes of the pretended refer more of the "benighted and depraved Mormons" are therein set forth with a frankness which, while it astonishes, cannot fail to convince the reader of the purposes of the "reformers." The blatant hypocrites who have so long labored and lied to create the impression abroad that the "Mormons" were wicked and depraved and desperately in need of being evangelized, have at length, accidentally we presume, but none the less completely unmasked themselves, and shown to their intended victims, and to the world what "agencies of reform" they propose to adopt in their crusade against the Latter day Saints and their religion. We are aware that some of the most damnably corrupt creatures that exist on earth in human form, were among the pretended reformers of Utah, but we scarcely thought that they, whatever they might think, would go so far as to publish to the world as among their principles of reform, the doctrine that it was better for a "Mormon" boy to grow up a drunkard, gambler and whoremonger than to become a Latter day Saint whose life should be consistent with his religion; and that it would be better for "Mormon" girls to become harlots than honored wives and mothers according to the principles of their parents' religion. What further extreme of diabolism remains to be devised by the "civilizers" of Utah in their unholy war against the religion and people of the dominant church of this Territory? What more damnable scheme can they intend for the destruction of the youth of that church than to foster gambling dens, saloons and brothels for the purpose of leading them astray, and in connection therewith teach them that it is better they should become all ??? and profligacy can make them than they should grow up firm in the faith of their fathers? ???
