Show DEEP SNOW. A few days since a gentleman from Bear Lake informed us that there was still five or six feet of snow in some of the settlements in that valley, and that it was questionable whether it would disappear in time to start of the putting in of crops this spring. To a remark expressive of sympathy for the settlers there, he declared that they were as well off as those in this valley, as all they wanted was plenty of food for their stock. This assured, it made but little difference how long the ground remained covered with snow. |
