Show Narrow Escape. EDITOR LEADER: - On Monday last the team of Bro. Jasper Lemmons ran away with the wagon, and during their flight ran over a little girl aged 3 years, daughter of Bro. Christian Sorensen; the front and hind wheels ran over the whole length of her body and head, [unreadable] her very badly, but fortunately breaking no bones. She is getting along as well as could be expected. On the same day a son of Brother Joseph Hardman was riding one horse and leading another to water. The one he was leading being slow, he was pulling it along, when the one he was riding reared up and fell backwards on the boy. Fortunately the boy was not hurt much, but in the fall the horses broke a blood vessel in its neck [unreadable]. Respectfully, Walter Paul. Mendon, March 30th, 1881. |
