Show WANTED SOME BEAUX. A few mornings since, there came with our usual mail, a dainty envelope containing the following advertisement: WANTED!!!! Three young ladies would like to correspond with a similar number of young gentlemen. Object amusement and perhaps matrimony. Adress.[sp] FANNIE RAYCLIFT, BETTY PEPPER, BECKY BRIGHT. LOGAN CITY, UTAH. Of course the names given are all fictitious, and afford no clue to the personal appearance, age nor social standing of the fair advertisers. It would of course be ungallant to assume that they were not fair, though, if so, it seems strange that, in such a town as Logan, they should be reduced to the necessity of advertising for a beau. What can our young men be doing? If any of them are tired of a state of single blessedness, we commend them to these wall-flowers. |
