Show ACCIDENTALLY SHOT. By special dispatch from Sandy we learn that, yesterday, at that place a few boys went out hunting, when a severe storm came up and they went into a board shanty for shelter. While there one of the party went outside and the others were getting their guns ready, when a loose strap caught the trigger of one gun loaded with buckshot. It was discharged and the shot went through the side of the shanty and buried nine buckshot in Wm. [William] Hardcastle's back. The wound is not considered dangerous, although painful. Mr. Hardcastle was brought to this city on the train this morning for treatment. - News. |
