Dr. F. W. Tnylor, president of the Provo public library board, presented a report of the library slncn it inception in 11)0-1, nt the meeting of the city council Inst evening. There Is n deficit of $2,000 whieh Dr. THylornskod the coiineil to nrrango for if poMible. The report is n long one and every person who has nwistod the library is given mention. Tho report was accepted and a voto of thanks tendered ten-dered the board. The recorder wns instructed to forward the appreciation ap-preciation of tho , council to Mr. Carnegie. Tho matter of arranging arrang-ing for thu 82000 ddfieit wns referred re-ferred to the committee on' finance and the committee on public grounds and city property with powor to act. Parker presented a diagram dia-gram of a sewer system tor the city which wns accepted. The following bids were presented present-ed for constructing tho sewer iu district No. 8: W. A. WillinniK Plumbing Co. $17,571, Whtel-wright Whtel-wright Construction Co. $15,757, Davis tfc Iluiuwr $15,500. The bid of Davis it Ueuser was accepted. |
