Show Propagation By Sets. The sweet potato is most commonly com-monly propagated by means of the buds or shoots from the roots. The roots are planted in hotbeds, and the buds or snoots which develops are removed and transplanted in the field. In some localities the cuttings or sections from the vines secured by the above method of propagation are transplanted, and the plants thus obtaned produce the bulk of the crop It is possible to propagate byjplanting true seed or by planting portions of the root, as with Irish potatoes.
