Show having authority, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying lay-ing on of hands by the elders of Israel, according to the plan which God has revealed in this our own day. And we also have our temporal tempo-ral salvation to look after. We should learn to be self sustaining and raise from the earth all that wo can, to make ourselves comfortable, comfort-able, and wo should produce that which wo need. Wo should look around us and see what there is that we need, that we can produce at home, and not send our monev 1 away for anything that we can produce pro-duce in our midst. Advised the peoplo to raise soma cotton to make our own clothing, and work in a way that we can make what we need, as far as possible, at home. Let us go to work with a will, and we will soon find ourselves in a far better condition than wo are today. President D. H. Cannon desired the people to come to meeting next Sunday, as it is likely that the names of those who have been sei t to Salt Lake City, tc act as Bishop and councilors, may bo returned re-turned by that time, to be presented present-ed to the people. Showed that the Saviour of the world made the greatest sacrifice that could be made, and this was done for us all. Showed that the Pilgrim fathers of this great American Nation sacrificed sacri-ficed many things to place their posterity upon this goodly land that they might gain that freedom to their offspring that they themselves them-selves could not obtain in the land of their nativity. And our forefathers fore-fathers made great sacrifices for the benefit of those who were yet unborn. Showed that many men who became famous on the earth have sacrificed many things for the benefit of mankind, among them the great George Washington, of 1 our own land. Encouraged those I present to be willing to sacriCcs j their own personal feelings for tho benefit of our fellow man and to carry the truths of heaven to all mankind. Showed that many among this people had sacrificed their all that they might rais9 up their posterity where the true principles of the Gospel are taught by those who have received that faith which God has given to this people through sacrifice. Bishop Thomas Judd said it is with feelings of Timidity that I speak tc this people upon the things pertaining to the gospel of Christ, as I know that a great responsibility responsi-bility rests upon those who stand up to instruct the people upon the principles of the gospel, and we need the spirit of God to inspire our minds with the truths of heaven. I can understand that the prophet Joseph Smith was raised up by the almighty to establish the gospel of Christ in our own day and that God, through him has established his work upon the earth never more to be taken from the earth, I bear my testimony to you, my brethren and sisters, that this gospel gos-pel is the true plan of salvation and that it is our duty to teach these principles to our fellowman.
