Show FOR NEW ROUTE The Helper Times sees an immense im-mense advantage to Helper to be gained by the Duchesne-Helper route and in its last issue has the following to say: The spirit shown by Helper's citizens on Tuesday, June 29, .when they went in a body to Willow Creek to improve the road leading into the Reservation Reserva-tion country, augurs well for the future prosperity of the town and was one of the first steps taken to reach out after the trade of the Duchesne and Uintah Uin-tah counties. Helper now being the starting point for the mails for the Uin-1 tah basin it naturally follows 1 that in a short space of time nearly all the passengers to and from that section of the country will-pass through here, as the round trip via the Willow Creek route has brought the Reservation Reserva-tion nearer the railroad and other oth-er facilities fully forty miles. It is now up to the Helper ( merchants and property owners (to see that the greatest propor-i propor-i tion of the trade shall come here. We have already in our thriving ( little town a number of good hotels ho-tels with excellent accommodations accommoda-tions and the passengers will soon learn that if they can procure pro-cure what they need in Helper there will be no need of going farther. Every effort should be put forth to make it as pleasant 'and convenient as ppssible for their comfort and an advertising campaign inaugurated .to convince con-vince them that Helper is the logical trading center, center. Helper people must remember that in the Uintah basin there are fully 1,000,000 acres of land (available for cultivation and over 2,000,000 acres for grazing I purposes. A schoolboy could not be excused if he did not forsee 'the magnificent chances Helper , has to increase her material pros pects. ! No doubt the road fron here into the Reservation country c?.n be vastly improved, and it will be in time. But it wont take much time for the Helper citi-j zens to get together and perfect ( plans for getting the lion's share j of the Reservation trade, andj also to make the comfort of the sojourners within our gates unexcelled. un-excelled.
