concurring therein SECTION 1 That It is proposed to amend mend section S 3 of Article 10 of the Constitution of tho the state of Utah as ec amended by the vote vota of the electors electon at the general election of ot 1930 to read as a. follows Sec See 8 8 The proceeds of the sales of all lands lande that have been or may hereafter be granted by th the United States to this thia state for tho the support of the common schools and five live per of the net proceeds of the sales of United States public lands lying within the state an and sold by the United States subsequent to the admission admission ad ad- mission of this state into the Union shall shaU be and remain a permanent fund to be called the State School Fund the interest of which only shall be expended for the support of the common common common com com- mon schools The interest on the State School Fund the proceeds of all property property property prop prop- erty that may accrue to tho the state by escheat or forfeiture all aU unclaimed shares and dividends of ot any corporation corporation corporation corpora corpora- tion incorporated under the laws of this state the proceeds of the sales salea of timber and the proceeds of the sale or other disposition of minerals or ether ther property from school and state lands other than those granted for fop specific purposes shall with such uch other revenues as the Legislature ma may from time to time allot thereto constitute con con- a fund to be bo known as the Uniform School Fund which Uniform School Fund shall be maintained and used for the support of the Amendment No 2 RATE OF TAXATION TAXATION PURPOSES PURPOSE DISTRIBUTION A JOINT RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 7 ARTICLE XIII OF THE CONSTITUTION CONSTITUTION CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE Of UTAH RELATING TO THE RATE OF TAXATION PURPOSES AND DISTRIBUTION Bt Be it resolved by bU the Legislature o othe othe 01 th the State Stat o of 01 Utah two thirds of al alt all altof of f th the members member elected to each tach house hout concurring therein SECTION 1 That it is proposed to amend section 7 of Article Article 13 13 of th the Constitution of the state of Utah a as a. amended by the vote of the electors at atthe atthe atthe the general election of ot 1930 to read as follows Sec 7 The rate rato of taxation on tangible property shall shan not exceed on each dollar of valuation two and four- four tenths mills for tor general state purposes two tenths of one mill for high school school purposes which shall constitute the high nigh school fund said furd shall ba bo apportioned in tho the manner the Legislature Legislature Legis Legis- lature laturo shall provide to the dis dis districts trios maintaining high schools and such levy for district school purposes which together with such other funds at as may be available for district school purposes will raise annually lly an as amount which equals 25 26 for each person parson of school age in the state as shown hown by the last preceding school census the same to be distributed among the school districts according to the last preceding school census and in addition an equalization fund which when added to other revenues provided for this purpose by the Legislature Legislature Legislature Legis Legis- lature shall be 5 for each person of school age as shown by the last pr prA ceding school census said mid equalization constitute tute a days day's work on all works or undertakings carried on or aided t by bythe bythe the state county or municipal government govern govern- ment meat and the Legislature shall past
