M Eldredge Del Mecham of Mt Emmons left with his school bus on its first lap of a journey to Boulder Dam from Altonah Tuesday Aug 31 31 at about 7 a. a m. m Passengers were gathered at Altonah Mt Emmons and Bluebell making the number of seminary students twenty-four twenty with ten older guests That might we rested in the shadow of the great white throne at Man Manta Manti ti The next day we travelled on with an anxious eye on the rain clouds but it t is doubtful that even rain could have dampened our spirits That afternoon we beheld one of the most magnificent sights we ever expect to see see Bryce Bryce Canyon The two hours allotted us there were well spent in exploring and gazing with awe at the wonders of nature the curious shapes of the stone and the bright brilliant colors of the canyon As we left we all expressed our desire to return return return re re- re- re turn sometime when we might be beable beable beable able to explore every niche and corner ZIon National Park Thursday morning found us ua in colorful Zion National park Although Although Although Al Al- though most of us had always lived in or near the mountains we had never dreamed of such auch mountains as these In this canyon such things as the tunnel the great white throne the tree patriarchs the hanging gardens the flowers along the trail and the lecture by the guide were considered very wonderful Continued On in Page 8 I |
