Assuming the engineering of this project to be properly qualified, there is little reason for anyone voting against this bond issue. As set up, the proposa" calls for an increase of 25c per month for residential water users. A portion of the revenue from the water works, including the increase thus provided for wil be set aside for repayment of the bonds, thus eliminating any additional debt burden or tax increase for the taxpayers. It is indeed a sorry condition when a community situated as Duchesne is, within a comparatively short distance of hundreds of springs and streams of the finest mountain water one could wisli for, has to use, for its culinary supply, the filthy, unsanitary and distasteful stuff which has been coming from our water mains. Yet, while these fine waters are comparatively close, they are yet far enough away to make their piping to Duchesne prohibitive in cost for a community of Duchesnes size. The best substitute yet discovered, in the report of the engineers who have investigated the situation, is the water of the Murray springs, which it is proposed shall be piped to a reservoir for storage and thence distributed through the mains.
