Mr. and Mrs. Jep Thomas left Monday for Southern Utah where they expect to take a weeks vacation spend a short time with Mrs. Thomas' sister at Bryce Canyon. Miss Blanch Thomas of Heber spent a week visiting Miss Ina Thomas. Mr. Frank Defa made a business trip to Duchesne on Monday. Mr. Storm McDonald was a Hanna caller Monday. Everyone wfts grief stricken when they learned of the sad accident which occurred Thursday evening, when small Kenjiith Lee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lee fell in an Irrigation canal which ran in back of their home, and was drow'ned. Mr. O. E. Curry found the littly boy about 30 minutes late, lodged against a pole about 50 yards from where he had fallen into the canal. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Red Cliff ward hall. Speakers were Mr. O. E. Curry, Mr. Orvil Michie and Mr. Heber deepest sympathy to the bereaved family. Miss Della Rhoades of Provo spent a couple of days this week with friends and relatives at Hanna. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Defa and Mr. and Mrs. Alfonzo Defa motored to Heber on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fabrizio took a load of lumber to Roosevelt Monday, Mr. Gene Nieolo returned to his home in Salt Lake City Tuesday after spending the past three months with the Defa family.
