Show o MAYOR BRANSFORD. Mayor Bransford has reason to be very proud of the overwhelming vote of confidence the people of Salt Lake have tendered him. It is an honor which any man would appreciate, appre-ciate, but under the especial circumstances circum-stances it must be particularly gratifying grati-fying to Mr. Bransford. When he was elected mayor to fill the unexpired unex-pired term of Mr. Thompson, resigned, re-signed, the "American" party was at a low ebb. It was all broken up by assaults from, without and disscntions from within. Mr. Bransford imme diately inspired confidence not only among the "American" party members mem-bers but with the general public. Even his enemies, if he has any, believe be-lieve thoroughly in his honesty and integrity and supreme desire to only ''o those things which will benefit S.ilt Lake and all her people. Mr. Bransford is a great deal above his party and it is to be hoped he will be big enough and strong enough to dominate the administration and compel it to give the city an honest, capable and business administration. He has no easy task before him. His administration will begin January Janu-ary ist with not only an empty treasury treas-ury but a load of debt and an extravagant extra-vagant and grafting lot of officials in office. He will need the support, of all good citizens irrespective of party affiliations and it is their duty to give it to him. Mr. Bransford's aim is for a greater Salt Lake. Let's all go in and help him. |
