All are invited to attend. Dorothy Whetsel celebrated her birthday Wednesday with her family. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Golesh were Salt Lake visitors Tuesday ev-ening. Mrs. William Leatherwood en-tertained at a birthday dinner in honor of her husband and son whose birthdays were on Janu-ary 13th and January 16th. Friday evening guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Cowdell were Mr. and Mrs. N. G. Nevers. Cards were enjoyed. Mrs. Joseph Timothy was hos-tess Monday evening to twelve members of No. 2 Firemen's auxiliary. Bridge was played and prizes were awarded to Mrs. Pe-ter Kosovieh, Mrs. Verl Peter-son and Mrs. Martin Prigmore. Dainty refreshments were serv-ed. Bingham LDS ward bishopric entertained at a party for offic-ers and teachers of all auxiliary organizations in the ward on Wednesday evening, January 17. A buffet style dinner was serv-ed. Entertainment was under the direction of Mus Virginia Har-ris and consisted of fun games and dancing. About sixty offic-ers and teachers were present. LOCALNOTES No. 1 Firemen's auxiliary met Monday evening as guests of Mrs. Lon Rawlings. Prizes at bridge were awarded to Mrs. Reed Kelly, Mrs. Wesley .Long-fellow and Mrs. Wally Swenson. Lovely refreshments were serv-ed to sixteen. Mr. and 'Mis. W. V. Robinson of Fowell, Wyo., formerly of Bingham, visited with friends in Bingham last Friday night. ... Mrs. Jessie Nielsen and child-ren, Barbara, Virginia and Wayne were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Lofgran Wednesday, January 24th. Reported in a critical condi-tion is Ronnie Michaelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. El Roy Michaelson, who is in the Salt Lake county general hospital in an iron lung receiving treatment for meningi-tis. Ronnie was stricken with the disease last week end and is an eighth grade student at Bingham high school. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellen NieLson Rostron, 67, of Moroni, who died last Friday af-ter an extended illness, were conducted at 1 p.m. Mmclay in the East ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints by Earl Elackham of the ward bishopric. Mrs. Rostron was the mother of Mrs. Frances R. Rose-qui-of Lark. Thirteen women of the Lark Ward Relief Society attended the Relief Society meeting held at Copperton ward chapel on Tuesday, January 23. The liter-ary lesson was given by Dr. Bry-ant S. Jacobs of BYU. "Your Eyes Can Deceive You" An innocent man was sent to jail because two men swore he had swindled them! In this un-usual article, read how some of the bitterest tragedies of our time have happened because people misjudged what their eyes told them. They saw it them selves, but just wasn't true. It's in the American Weekly, that great magazine ditributed with next Sunday's Los Angeles Ex-aminer. LARK NEWS Joy Seal 901J1 A sleigh riding party was en-joyed by LaVerne Wittke, Mar-garet Brogan, LaVae Webb, Rex Wittke and Don Ferguson on Sunday evening, January 2 1st. Afterwards hot chocolate and cookies were enjoyed at the Wittke home. The group also made candy. Mr. and Mrs, James Brogan and son Danny of Magna were visitors Thursday, January 18th of Mrs. Brogan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Oliver, and also visited with their daughter Mar-garet, who is living with her grandparents until school is out when she will return to live with her parents. Monday evening guest of Mr. and Mrs. Dell Nell was Margaret Brogan. Mrs. Flossie Nell was hostess at the MIA preparation meeting held at her home on Thursday, January 18. The meeting consist-ed of the lesson and a business discussion and refreshments were served. Those present were Miss Carol Steel, Mrs. Mary 'Beth Walker, Mrs. Beatrice Reed, Mi's Roberta Rasmussen, Mrs. Geral-dee- n Reed, Mrs. Marie Steven son, Mrs. June Draper and Mrs. Bessie Bigler. Lark P-T- Sponsors Sewing Class The Lark is sponsoring a sewing class. Held twice week-ly on Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m., the class is being held at the Lark school house. Mrs. Susan Weagel is the instructor. The registration is 50 cents. Everyone is invited to attend. Overnight guest Wednesday of Mary Lou Ball was Carolyn Stod-dard of Copperton. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ball were Tuesday evening visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Lofgran. Canasta was played and refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Giles and daughter Rozanne of Centerville were Sunday visitors of Mr. Gil-es mother, Mrs. Frank Sweat and Mr. Sweat. Mrs. Edna Medley entertained at her home on Thursday, Janu-ary 18, for members of her 500 club. Five hundred was played after which refreshments were served. First prize was won by Mrs. Leola Peterson; second by Mrs. Mary Gressman and house prize went to Mrs. Cecily Jack-son.
