Show FIRE SUNDAY DOES MUCH DAMAGE HERE Bingham Volunteer Fire Department De-partment Sunday morning, January Janu-ary 21, at 5:30 a.m. answered a call at 21 Wall street, located just below Standard Garage. 35 firemen fire-men answered the call and battled bat-tled the blaze for 2Vs hours, Fire Chief John J. Crecdon reported. The building was owned toy Harry Har-ry Steele and practically covered by insurance. It was occupied by two families, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Arth-ur Hurst and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gates. The fire department is to be "commended for its excellent "salvage "sal-vage work which held damage to contents in the building to low figure. Up to date, the cause or estimated damage have not been determined Mr. Creedon said, who also reported this to be the first major fire within the city for over two years. |
