Show wildlife federation protests action of big gome board officers of the tooele thoele county wildlife federation held a meeting on july 20 to formulate plans to combat recommended doe deer re moval boval scheduled for tooele thoele county by the state board of big game control through a misunderstanding the representative of the tooele thoele coun ty wildlife federation was not notified of the meeting of the too ele county big game committee held on june 8 in which becom ions for this county were compiled recommendations approved at this meeting were as follows that the regular buck hunt be held in the vernon area and that in addition doe deer be ed id in this area that the number of deer demov id ed from the stansbury be the same a as 1947 1941 and that south willow can yon be opened to hunting that buck deer be removed from both sides of the heaston game preserve that 30 bull elk and 20 cow elk be taken from the heaston game preserve that doe deer be removed from the leaen heaston game preserve from lake point on the north to the ophir road on the south immediate action was taken by the tooele thoele county wildlife feder atlon when these recommendations were made known A letter was compiled and submitted to the state board of big game control stating the recommendations of the wildlife federation and outlining the reasons for disagreement with the recommendations submitted by the tooele thoele county big game corn com cittee A copy of this letter is s available for the information of all tooele thoele county sportsmen the wildlife federation is taking ad d dional vigorous action to prevent an unwarranted removal of doe deer during the 1948 hunting seas on |
