Show erda 1111 arvest 6 bushels of church isaiaa ch wheat ERDA 18 men with five corn com bine harvesters took only 3 and one half hours to harvest the wheat field of 40 acres raised by the erda church with a fine crop of bushels reaped the harvest took place last week when I 1 bishop john droubay issued a call to help cut the wheat that had been planted by volunteers last fall aaron bryan albert weyland max bleazard and alien allen warr answered with their outfits and bishop droubay sup plied one himself so the job ob was finished in short order last fall 10 men helped with the plowing and the large field was completely plowed in less than four hours rainfall was not too abundant but was adequate to produce a good dry farm yield it was figured that man hours were anent in raising this wheat which was taken to salt lake and turned over to the church welfare best part of the day came when relief society lad es annie drou bay amy palmer and georgia nash served a snack in the field after the work was done sand ice cream soda water and other refreshments were served to the group as they pulled their trucks and equipment up to form a much as the old pioneers used to make their wagons into circles at nightfall |
