Show HIGH SCHOOL NEWS by dorothy nix GIRLS DAY DANCE things down at school this past week seemed to be in the girls hands they re all out trying to catch their men sorta like sadie hawkins day for the b g dance to be held this friday nov 7 at 9 00 p in m for this dance the girls pay all expenses do all the work but yet have the most fun doing it the fun comes with the decor abing of the gym and taking their best beau to the dance this girls day dance is an an nual dance so every year the boys may look forward to having the girls pay the way and go to all the trouble of making the dance a success these girls of THE are also work ing hard for an assembly to be given friday the talented girls league members will show what they can do and believe me they can do it the girls figure that isn t too much to pay because they only do this sort of thing once a year and look how many times the poor boys have to dig in their pockets and pull out the dough there is go ng to be a very good orchestra there to put every body in swing and we hope that every thing is a big success PEP CLUB the pep club of the tooele thoele high school has been very busy organ izi izma ng itself for another year of many thrilling activities first of all new of officers acers were elec ted with the officers as follows president geraldine Gerald me green vice president billie jean stephens sec see and tres bonnie christensen and drill mistress myrtice then everyone decided the club should have a name instead of cal ling it just plain old pep the club is now known as the buffs new members initiated into the club this year make it I 1 believe the largest that it has ever been for the past 2 or 3 weeks the chief concern is the club uniforms the girls hope to choose a uniform which will be suitable as a stand ard uniform to serve for every year the big problem money enters into this picture so the girls are selling the curtis publications to help pay for their uniforms you will be seeing these girls doing their part at the seasons basketball games OPERETTA folks be looking forward for the school operetta to be held this month the cast has been chosen and everybody is working hard memorizing singing and painting this is going to be a darn good operetta so watch for the date to be announced in the next issue of this paper uj willis smith william shepherd and frank palmer spent saturday and sunday in delta for the pheasant shooting returning to tooele thoele monday on wednesday nov 12 ellen anderson public health nurse will be in TOD park at the social room to give a health lesson all ladies are invited to attend |
