the good times they have the year round well seeing as how my husband chasn t been a lion until just re bently maybe I 1 had better put in a good w word ord for the american leg ion of which he has been a mem aber ber since it was first organized out here it seems the legion sort of played out during the summer months but is once more getting into full swing again and promis ing a little fun and entertainment once it does get back on wheels two weeks ago a meeting was held at the federal housing and the following officers were elected post commander mr kenneth B russell vice commander clayton green adjutant virgil sul alivan livan finance officer bud moss historian irvine caruthers mgt at arms bruce sinz last week state officers visited the regular meeting to lend a help ing hand getting off on the right foot they were jack lewis D strict commander of murray utah R dukson district adjutant also of murray don thomas state liaison dept of salt lake city R tatum veterans administration of salt lake city don bushman post commander of deseret chemical post mrs bushman accompanied her husband in the interest of get ting an american legion Auxilia iry organized in wendover this will all be discussed at the armistice dance to be held november alth its bound to be fun if its only half as much fun as the dance agnen gi en last march by the legion so I 1 think eie everyone should look for ward and plan to be there tickets will be sold prior to the dance and free lunch will be served the music will be the same as that which helped the lions to have such a success at their party this really promises to be a lot of fun a lot of new members brought in the legion hopes and of course all eligible Net veterans et erans should join to enable their wives to join the auxiliary the auxiliary would real ly be swell to have in wendover as there is practically nothing for the women folks to do out here and something of this sort would be constructive as well as enter taming how now about it ladies talk to your men in the meantime and lets all get together |
