The Vikings had won all four of their playoff games at home. After having crushed the Skyline Eagles (see related story) sto-ry) in July 21 action, Pleasant Grove came out with an 11-10 win over the Riverton Silver-wolves Silver-wolves on July 22. Going into the bottom of the July 22 game's sixth inning, the Vikings found the Silver-wolves Silver-wolves leading them 10-7. Bradyn Bra-dyn Cox hit a three-run homer to tie the game at 10. Hitting a double, Jade Smoot soon stole home to give the Vikings their quarterfinal win. The first four innings of the July 23 semifinal saw Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove play a tight game against the Bingham Miners, having a rich baseball tradition of their own. The game opened with Miner Kade Cloward singling off Zac Peterson. After Peterson Peter-son grounded out Nick Plaga, the Vikings belted the Miners with a double play. On two outs, Brody Blackhurst Black-hurst doubled in Luke Kaesmeyer Kaes-meyer in the bottom of the first. A two-out, Chandler May single reeled in Logan Bullock in the bottom of the second. Bingham got onto the scoreboard in the top of the third. Hitting his second single off Peterson, Cloward came home on a Plaga double. Hit into right field, a Tyler Zupan single moved Plaga to third. Plaga became stranded there as he watched Pleasant Grove nail Zupan in a hot box play and Will Anderson struck out.
