Show PG City Council Work Session Explores Upcoming Items Pleasant Grove City Attorney Attor-ney Tina Petersen told the city council that a proposal from Lindon City offering to sell their contained water stock for water in the Murdock Canal had been received. She said that when the canal ca-nal is piped more water will be available. Lindon City is offering offer-ing to let Pleasant Grove buy its water stock as they do not need it. The council felt that the asking price was too high and the city does not need the water right now. Of special interest was a discussion concerning the original orig-inal Pleasant Grove Fort site in connection with the plans for the new Civic Center project in the downtown area. It was announced an-nounced by Mayor Bruce Call that the city plans to continue to maintain the boundaries of the old fort as they are now. They also have ideas for incorporating incor-porating it more into the city's downtown plans. They would like to take one of the original lots in the fort and preserve that. It was also noted that the city has already acquired property near 100 East Center which will be used in connection connec-tion with the Civic Center plans for the downtown area. |
