No further action was taken. While on patrol, a ve-hicle was stopped for a speeding violation. Upon making contact with the juvenile driver, an odor of alcohol was detected. The driver submitted to FST testing and was arrested. She was released to her mother a short time later. No further action taken. Police were called to a vehicle burlgary. Items stolen were a planner worth $100, social security ID card, checkbook, and a deb-it Visa. On Monday, October 18, an officer was dis-patched to a residence on theft detail. On Tuesday, October 19, an officer stopped a ve-hicle for an equipment vio-lation and found the driver had a denied license. The driver was given field so-briety tests and found to be impaired. The driver was arrested for DUI and booked into the Utah Coun-ty Jail on felony charges. Two juvenile males were arrested for criminal mischief at the Pleasant Grove High School. Both juveniles' parents were contacted and informed of the incident and were re-leased on citation. On Wednesday, October 20, officers stopped a ve-hicle for mechanical viola-tion. The driver was iden-tified by means of a Utah driver's license. The offi-cer found the driver to have been consuming alcohol and following administra-tion of field sobriety tests, found him to be impaired. The State impounded the vehicle. An intoxilizer test was administered to the driver. The driver showed two prior convictions for .DUI within the past ten years which made this vio-lation a felony. The driver was arrested and booked on felony DUI and misde-meanor traffic violations. Police responded to a report by an individual who reported a theft of some tires and possibly a lot of tools. Officers were called to a delayed assault in-cident that occurred two hours prior. The assault occurred during foot-ball practice between two teammates on the 9th grade football team. On Thursday, October 14, an individual observed a theft occurring and called police. One arrest made. An officer responded on a report of criminal mis-chief. The officer found it appeared someone had at-tempted to steal a vehicle from a car lot. No damage was done to the vehicle, but the owner just called to inform the police for pos-sible extra patrol during the night. On Friday, October 15, at around 1:15 a.m., offi-cers were called on a vehi-cle burglary. Tools valued at $300 and $100 in cash were stolen. An officer was dis-patched to make phone contact with an individual regarding a theft of prop-erty. The officer made contact with the individual and informed him to make a list of the property that was stolen so the officer could enter it in with the report. An officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic viola-tion and found that the pas-senger in the vehicle had a valid no bail warrant. The passenger was also found to be in possession of Meth, Ecstasy, and parapherna-lia and was booked into the Utah County Jail. The driver was found to be in possession of paraphernalia and was cited and released. On Saturday, Octo-ber 16, an officer was dis-patched to a local residence on a possible alcohol party. Upon investigation, several individuals were located hiding in the home, how-ever, all were of legal age to be consuming alcohol. A small amount of drugs were located in one of the resident's bathrooms. One male admitted to being in possession of the drugs and - ..i 1 t Z 1 r-"- J' poce J- - i j On October 15 an officer discovered a criminal mis-chief while on patrol. The officer located several yard lighting units in the middle of the roadway that were dam-aged and or destroyed. The officer believed these dam-aged lights are directly related to another juvenile problem in the same area. The officer collected these units and placed them in front of the residence he be-lieve they belonged to. The officer attempted to contact the home owner without suc-cess. The officer left a busi-ness card requesting further contact for the needed infor-mation. The officer found no suspect information and or evidence to be collected. A report was made of a former employee who had stolen tools and then pawned them. On October 16 police re-sponded to the report of some individuals smoking drugs from an apple on the west side of the Wal-Ma- rt parking lot. Upon arrival I was unable to locate the vehicle. On a sub-sequent search of the area the car was located and stopped. This resulted in the arrest of two females. They were both released on citations. On October 17 police re-sponded on a report of van-dalism to vehicles. Officers found two vehicles had the windows painted with some offensive words. The owners cleaned the vehicles and no damage was reported. An officer was dis-patched to check out a sus-picious vehicle. One adult male was arrested for Pos-session of Paraphernalia in a drug free zone. All natures matching SDRUGS All lo-cations, All cities, All clear-ance codes, All observed of-fenses, All reported offenses On October 18 an un-known suspect took $950 from the purse of an employ-ee at an assisted living cen-ter. There are many employ-ees and residents who may have taken the cash. This case is active to investiga-tions. On October 19 officers were called to a retail theft at Wal-Mar- t. The subject was caught and issued a citation. PG Recreation Awards the Winners of its Punt, Pass, Kick Competition " - ' ' ' V ... ' Pleasant Grove City Recreation recently held its annual Punt, Pass, Kick Competition for all the kids in the department's Flag Football Program. Each child competed ; individually in their age groups for a chance to win a trophy in each of the i categories Punt, Pass and Kick. This year the recre-ation department had the largest number of kids ever enrolled in the Flag Football program, 100 more than last year. This week the Tim-panog- Times is listing the third grade (Divi-sion B) fourth (Division A, B) through sixth grade winners.
