' ' M J i Li- i - ' t -1 " -. . . - - - - - --- - - - School District Approves Lone Peak for East Cedar Hills by Harlow Clark At its Nov. 9 meeting the Alpine School District board voted unanimously to open enrollment en-rollment at Lone Peak High School to Cedar Hills residents living east of Canyon Road. Board Member Chrissy Hannemann said by phone that several residents spoke in fa vor of the proposal at the board meeting and none of the board voted against it. Hannemann said the enrollment enroll-ment will start in the 2011-12 school year for sophomores living liv-ing east of Canyon Road and inside in-side the city limits. The enrollment enroll-ment will not be open to juniors and seniors. Hannemann told Cedar Hills' City Council Oct. 19 that the enrollments will start with 38 10th graders in 2011, increasing in-creasing to "up to 124" by 2019. Residents wishing to enroll en-roll should turn in an out of area transfer form during open enrollment January 15 through March 15,2011. In other business, Hannemann said, the board voted to make an exception to American Fork Jr. High's closed enrollment so that students who will be attending American Fork High can go there if they choose.
