Show Signup Dates for Big Game Hunts Listed by Agency Utah hunters were given application dates to aim at' by the Board of Big Game Control, which recently released re-leased the 1972 hunting proclamation proc-lamation coverning five species of big game animals. Details of hunts for elk, antelope, moose, buffalo and desert bighorn sheep wore given in the proclamation printed in the Salt Lake Tribune Tri-bune Sunday, July 9. Antelope, . moose and bighorn big-horn sheep applications will be accepted until July 28 at Wildiife Resources offices. Buffalo will not be hunled in 1972 because of unusually heavy poaching on the small southern Utah herd since last fall. Season dates for most ellr units are October 7-15. Antelope Ante-lope hunts are all September 9-17 inclusive. Moose sea- sons are September 9-20 f;r five permits and September 2 29 for 100 permits. Bighorn hunts arc September 23 through October 8. Nonresidents will hunt Utah elk for the first time this year. One hundred open area bull permits will be issued. |
