Show Antelope, Moose, Bighonr Hunts Set in Utah Areas . September will be a busy month for many Utah hunters hunt-ers who recently received Ihe green light from the Board of Big Game Control to apply for 200 antelope, 105 moose and 10 desert bighorn sheep permits . Application deadline is 5 p.m. July 28 at Division of Wildlife Resources offices in Sail Lake, Ogden, Provo, Vernal, Ver-nal, Price and Cedar City. Special application forms are available from license agents and Division offices. A public drawing at 9 a.m. August 2 at the Division's Salt Lake office will determ ine successful applicants. Complete instructions are in the 1972 big game proclamation. proc-lamation. The antelope season is sch eduled for September 9-17 on Utah's nine hunting areas. The 2G0 permits are for bucks, or animals with horns longer than ears. Five bull moose permits were authorized for the C-den C-den River - Lost Creek area which will be hunted September Septem-ber 9-20 Vi The Bear River HoIe-inthe-Rock area received re-ceived 100 bull moose per mils for a September 2-29 season. The desert bighorn sheep hunt will be September 23 through October 8. Five tra-phy tra-phy ram permits were authorized auth-orized for each of the two San Juan hunting areas. Application for a 1972 an telope permit is legal if a hunter did not have one in 1970 or 1971. Moose and bighorn big-horn permits are once-ina lifetime opportunities. |
